“In the midst of this pain, the heartache, the confusion…I will lift up my eyes to you and you alone,I won’t look to the left or the right…I trust you.”
How many of us have such great confidence in God.Such that amid darkness and madness all around, you are able to boldly declare that I trust you. I mean…let’s be realistic here… we all struggle with this when things don’t go as we desire them to.What of prayer?…feels like God just turns a deaf year whenever we need Him most!!!(Grrrrrrr!…Sigh)
This month,I decided to share a few tips to make this year a bit different from the last one.Last week I admonished us to be our brother’s keeper. I hope and trust that you are one😉.
Well…back to this weeks write-up.I was listening to a certain song this morning that really ministered to my heart. It was on repeat mode the whole morning.(It will feature today. Please make a point of watching it and most especially listening to the words.)
Jesus Christ never promised a life free of trials.Infact He sent a helper to take us through this life that is full of trials and He promised to never leave nor forsake us.He did not say this for the sake of it.He meant it.
Life can batter and bruise you, blur your vision and make straight roads appear winding and dark.Imagine this,as long as deep down you are convinced that He has not left nor forsaken you then consider it pure joy and at the end of it all maturity and completeness results(See James 1:2–4)…Isn’t this just too good!!!…This should produce a dynamo kinda energy don’t you think?
See what David says in Psalms 9:10, “Those who know your name trust in you,for you Lord have never forsaken those who seek you.”
As long as you have experienced the saving Grace of Christ, then trust in God is inevitable and when you seek Him earnestly He never forsakes.
I can go on and on and on,but allow me to pause here today. My prayer for us today and the rest of the year 2018 is to purposely put our trust in God regardless.Be confident enough to boldly say,
I will lift my hands to you because you are all I want and need. The Light that shines in my darkest hour, greater than the greatest. All I pray for you to do is come down.
He won’t disappoint you.He is not a man that He should lie or a Son of man to repent. What He says He means and He means what He says.
As promised, watch this amazing song by Cece Sagini that has really ministered to my heart.Enjoy!
Have a fabulous week ahead and remember to…
Trust Him.Trust Him.Trust Him.😉
