The Diagram of Love

In our naked disobedience, He clothes us.

Through bloody jealousy and confusion, He promises refuge and provision.

He overlooks the enemy and showers mercy.

He leaves the ninety-nine to find the one.

When we deserve a death sentence, He says, “Go and sin no more.”

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you unconditional love. Love that overlooks our shortfalls and instead covers them and shows us a doorway to hope!

This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. (1 John 4:8)

Gods’ love blinded him to our sinful self. His love was and still is undeniable. He sent his only son to die for us!! Surely, we cannot deny the fact that this is unconditional love at play!! It excites me whenever I think about it.

Through this, I know how treasured I am. Nobody has the right to trash me or what I represent because I know my worth. You my dear reader, are worth much more than you think, much more than anyone else thinks. Christ bought us with a price. What price was this? His life. Can it be quantified using a few notes and coins? Maybe gold, silver or diamonds? Not at all! Priceless! We are treasured by the inventor of all Loves!!! How cool is that!!

While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us!! You think you can catch a grenade for your lover? Trust me when the rubber meets the road I doubt that is humanly possible, but Christ literally caught the grenade for us. Destination hell was our lot until God rescued us and faced Hell Himself!

You are loved beyond measure. Never doubt that.

We receive this love and as we do so, God has commanded us to love our brothers and sisters. Unconditional love should be shared out.

This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgement. In this world we are like Jesus. (1John 4:16)

As a Christian, we are called to be like Jesus, who loved the unlikeable, tamed the untameable and dined with the ‘undineable’.

Have you experienced this love yet? If not, please pray this simple prayer with me,

Inventor of all loves, I come to you, I desire to experience this kind of love. Help me oh God to live a life worthy of you. Help me to steer clear of sin and distraction. Cleanse me and call me your own. This I pray in Jesus name. Amen

God, who needs nothing loves into existence wholly superfluous creatures in order that He may love and perfect them. He creates the universe, already foreseeing or should we say, “seeing?” there are no tenses in God- the buzzing cloud of flies about the cross, the flayed back pressed against the uneven stake, the nails driven through the medial nerves, the repeated incipient suffocation as the body drops, the repeated torture of the back and arms as it is time after time, for breaths sake hitched up. If I may dare a biologucal image, God us a ‘host’s who deliberately creates his own ‘parasites’, that we may ‘exploit’ and ‘take advantage of’ Him. Herein is love. This is the diagram of love Himself, the inventor of all loves.
